Overview
Facial Aesthetics is the medical term used for non-surgical anti-aging treatment. Principally, there are two main treatments, Anti-Wrinkle Injections, and Dermal Fillers.
Dr. Adamson is highly experienced in both cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics and with her gentle approach is highly skilled at delivering her patients superb results.
Anti-Wrinkle Treatment
In our youthful years lines on our face only appear when the relevant facial muscles are contracting. However, as we age, these lines become more promiment and are present all the time making you look older. With very simple non-surgical anti-wrinkle injections we can soften these lines and elimate them whilst you are at rest giving you a more youthful and refreshed look. Anti-Wrinkle Treatment prices start from £230 and the treatment takes about five days to take effect and normally lasts for three to four months.

Antiwrinkle treatment is available from £270 for one area, £320 for two areas & £340 for three areas.

Dermal Fillers
Dermal Fillers are gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and soften creases or enhance facial contours.
Our patients are really keen that any cosmetic work they have done looks natural and subtle. As with most things in facial and dental aesthetics less is more. Small subtle amounts of filler appear natural making you look good for your age and giving you an overall rejuvenated appearance. Dermal Filler prices start from £370 and the results are noticeable immediately after the procedure and can last six months to two years.
Another treatment we offer is HAmonyCa Filler which is a hybrid injectable treatment combining hyaluronic acid (HA) and calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA). It has a dual effect, with the HA offering immediate lift and the CaHA causing new collagen production. It is injected into the side of patients’ faces, in front of their ears. It can create lift, contour, and enhance areas of your face like your cheeks, lower face, and jowls and it improves elasticity over time.
Cheek Augmentation
Do you feel you’ve lost some of that youthful plumpness in your cheeks and maybe they are now somewhat saggy making your face look a bit droopy and tired?
Dermal fillers are used mid-face to restore volume in your cheeks if you’ve lost that plumpness and fullness in this area. Fillers can also improve the definition of your cheeks, emphasising them more.
This treatment can create a lift, which can have a positive effect on your lower face often improving the appearance of other skin folds such as the nasolabial folds, rather than treating them directly with fillers.
Nasolabial folds are the skin folds on either side of your nose extending to the corners of your mouth.
Lip Enhancements
Do you feel that your lips are too thin or uneven? Have you found that they have decreased in size as you’ve aged? Have you started to get vertical lines above your upper lip or lower lip?
You may have some deep lines running down the sides of your mouth (Marionette lines) that concern you.
Fillers can increase your lip volume, improve symmetry and smooth the appearance of those vertical lip lines and in doing so give you a more youthful natural look. These fillers can also be used around your mouth to improve the corners of your mouth if drooping (Anti-wrinkle treatment can also help with this).
When treating your lips Dr. Adamson will look at the ratio between your upper and lower lips and endeavor to keep this ratio as close to the ideal ratio of 1:1.6 as possible.
Moisturising Injectables
Profhilo
Profhilo is an injectable hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment. This treatment stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improves the firmness of the skin. Along with hydrating the skin it also remodels ageing and sagging tissue by stimulating collagen and elastin. This treatment is used in the face and neck and has a significant tightening and lifting effect on the skin tissue. It is recommended to have two sessions of Profhilo one month apart for the best result. Profhilo is available from £285.
Nucleadyn
Is another intradermal injectable solution that restores firmness and elasticity in your skin. This absorbable injection is based on polymerised polynucleotides. Nucleadyn treats three main areas, your eyes, face, and neck. The eye treatment reduces eye bags and periocular wrinkles. It also thickens and restructures the tissue around your eyes, resulting in an improvement in superficial wrinkles without the use of fillers. With face and neck treatments, you can restore skin tone and elasticity along with rehydrating your skin. Nucleaddyn is available from £330.
